Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026 · Operator: VIP Affiliate Network Ltd
1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how VIP Affiliate Network Ltd ("we", "us" or "our"), the operator of TrueBrands.ai (the "Site"), processes information relating to visitors to the Site.
The Site operates as an informational, price-comparison and affiliate marketing website. We do not require users to create an account and, unless otherwise stated at the point of collection, we do not request information such as your name, postal address or telephone number in order to browse the Site. Certain technical and online identifier information may be processed automatically when you visit or interact with the Site.
2. Information we may process
- IP address (used transiently for security and rate limiting; stored only as a one-way hash where we need to detect abuse) and approximate location derived from it;
- browser, device and operating-system information;
- identifiers held in your browser's local storage (see our Cookie Policy) - for example your consent choice, saved products, compare list, language and country preference;
- pages viewed and interactions with the Site, counted in aggregate;
- search queries, counted in aggregate to improve results (your personal search history is kept only in your browser, and only if you consent);
- AI assistant conversations, stored under a random session identifier so that you can continue them; they are not linked to your identity;
- affiliate link clicks and referral information (product, store, page placement, time, and - with your consent - a hashed anonymous visitor identifier and the campaign that brought you to the Site);
- information you choose to send us through the Corrections & complaints form (message, page URL and, optionally, your e-mail address);
- if you request a price-drop alert: your e-mail address, the product watched, your optional target price and the dates alerts were sent - kept until you unsubscribe (every alert e-mail contains an unsubscribe link). Alerts start only after you confirm your address (double opt-in);
- information required to attribute a referral, conversion or qualifying transaction to the Site.
We do not receive information identifying what an individual user purchased, or other personal information held by a third-party merchant, unless this is specifically provided to us as part of the applicable affiliate or tracking arrangement.
3. Why we process this information
- operating, securing and maintaining the Site (legitimate interests);
- understanding how visitors use the Site and measuring traffic and performance (consent, where optional technologies are used);
- preventing fraud, scraping and misuse (legitimate interests);
- measuring the performance of affiliate links and advertising campaigns (consent);
- attributing referrals, conversions and commissions to the Site (legitimate interests and, where storage of identifiers is involved, consent);
- responding to corrections, complaints and privacy requests (legal obligation and legitimate interests);
- sending price-drop alert e-mails you asked for (consent, withdrawable at any time via the unsubscribe link or the Manage alerts page).
The applicable lawful basis under UK data protection law depends on the particular processing activity and technologies used. Where consent is required for cookies or similar technologies, the relevant technology is only used after the required consent has been obtained.
4. Affiliate links and third parties
The Site contains links to third-party websites and services. When you follow an affiliate link, information may be transmitted or made available to the relevant merchant, affiliate network (Connexity) or technology provider for purposes including referral and conversion attribution. Those third parties may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies and act as independent controllers of information they receive. We encourage users to review the privacy information provided by the relevant third party.
5. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use, or may use, cookies and similar technologies (principally browser local storage) for Site functionality, analytics, security and affiliate attribution. Where the operator has enabled them, Google Ads conversion measurement and Google Analytics tags load only after you grant the corresponding consent. Further information about the technologies used, their purposes and how you can manage your preferences is available in our Cookie Policy and through the Cookie settings facility linked in the footer of every page.
6. Sharing of information
Information may be shared with service providers that assist us in operating and securing the Site (hosting, database and AI model providers), analytics providers, affiliate networks, merchants and other technology providers where necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. We do not sell personal information, and we do not pass personal information to merchants merely because a visitor uses an affiliate link.
7. International transfers
Some service providers, affiliate networks or other recipients may process information outside the United Kingdom (for example in the United States). Where UK data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer of personal data, we take appropriate measures - such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum - to ensure that the transfer is made in accordance with applicable law.
8. Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was processed, including applicable legal, accounting, security and dispute-resolution requirements. Aggregate click and search statistics are retained indefinitely in anonymised form; AI assistant sessions are retained for up to 12 months; reports sent through the contact form are retained for up to 24 months after they are resolved. Data held in your own browser remains until you delete it (see the button below).
9. Your rights
Where UK data protection law applies to our processing of your personal data, you may have rights including rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, depending on the circumstances and applicable legal basis. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
To exercise your rights, e-mail info@cprventures.com or select "Privacy request" on the Corrections & complaints page.
